We are always delighted to offer these exceptionally rare local original railway posters and here is an absolute stunning example.
Torquay The Queen Of The English Riviera was painted by Xenia in 1963 and published by British Railways (Western Region) the same year.
It is classed as being a Double Royal in poster sizes and depicts the iconic Torquay pavilions with the harbour beyond. Condition is good with minor folds and a tiny tear to the right hand border, and the colours are very strong.
These are printed on such lightweight paper as they were intended to be thrown away each year, it is always remarkable to find an original poster surviving at all.
